Day 17 – Curfew – Thursday 9 April 2020.
It’s been a garden, sun, garden, walk-Martha, garden, eat, garden, watch a film, then bed sort of day!
So much so that there really isn’t much to write about: watching a film this evening called ‘Contagion’ gave my O.H. and I a few ‘wow’ moments in as much as, ‘How come this film is at least 10 years old yet the virus featured in it is scarily similar to Covid 19?’
The dry cough and the high temperatures suffered from the ‘imaginary’ virus are also symptoms of Covid 19. Add to this the point that both ‘imaginary’ virus and Corona Virus are passed on through touch and breathe, and it makes you wonder if the writer/creator of the film had an insight into the future or what?

The film really did make me question how long this will go on for and how many people will be affected – in a way the ‘real’ virus hasn’t.
I guess, for many of us, we are sheltered (unlike the NHS workers) from the reality (unless we are addictively watching the news). I only know of a handful of people who have possibly had the virus; not being tested means none of these have been confirmed as having Covid 19. Luckily, those aforementioned people are back to full health now!
Stay safe folks…
Hugs
