I’m pretty cheap to run nowadays. Travelling (currently living in a narrowboat) makes collecting ‘stuff’ rather difficult. In turn, this means my spending has been keep well under budget – not that I totally understand the word ‘budget’!!!
When packing for a ‘cheeky week in the sun’ this morning I realised that I need to recycle some of my clothes. I’m totally bored with them. Luckily, a recent shopping trip (which I had felt a tad guilty about) means that I have a few new additions to my capsule wardrobe. I’m very much looking forward to dressing in something other than jeans and jumpers for the next seven days; my newly acquired crisp, white shirt, lacy blouse and leopard print bag and shoes are sure to get an airing.
I’m having a bit of a Lulu Guinness moment just now. I’ll tell you why….about six or seven years ago my work colleagues bought me a Lulu G makeup bag for my birthday.
Not only did I love the design but as I transferred my make up I realised that the new bag was like a tardis. It really does take a large amount of product – useful for the era we live in where primers, foundation, blushers, lip pencils, eye pencils, eye shadows and mascara are part of the daily routine! So on reading the in-flight magazine I couldn’t resist replacing my quite worn de-tangling brush for one on sale. Yup, you’ve guessed….it’s a Lulu G detangler. Thank goodness I’m not in the market for a new bag or purse right now or else my opening statement would be quite the opposite. Hey ho, a girl has to buck the trend now and then methinks! Unpredictability…it’s a girl thing!
Hugs, Leigh xx
