Day 7 – Curfew – Monday 30 March.
Wow! I impressed myself today beginning with an early 11k run. All the way from home, down the Evesham Road almost to town and back again. Go me!
I was hoping to be able to join in an online Pilates class at 10am but by the time I had walked Martha I missed the start.
Instead I recorded a short session myself, to share with family and friends. I had to laugh because I intended to finish the class by bringing myself (and viewers) up to a sitting position but I couldn’t quite get up! In my defence, instructing, breathing properly and doing the exercises is rather harder than it looks. It’ll give viewers a giggle anyway!
People in th U.K. appear on the whole to be remaining fairly calm, though I’m seeing more people wearing masks, more retailers taping their floors to ensure customers keep 2m apart, and more people crossing the road to avoid walking close to each other.
One Doctors surgery has erected a white gazebo so that patients awaiting appointments or prescriptions have a large covered waiting space.
It reminds me of something out of a film. A year back most of us would have thought this situation would never happen. Yet it has.
My friend ‘E’ dropped 6 fresh hen eggs off at the gate today which I will now pass on to another friends elderly dad: pulling together and staying positive is the order of the day! On that note I’ve just had another order come in – I’m the shopping volunteer for those who are self-isolating for tomorrow. More about that tomorrow.
Off to find a job or two: It’s a Girl Thing.
Hugs,
Leigh
Ps ‘E’ text me to say she’d arrived home to a collapsed ewe who then gave birth to twins! Lambing doesn’t stop for anything I guess.
