Freddie’s Flowers!
Actually they are not Freddie’s – they are my flowers now and I love them.
A week or so back I visited a Christmas/Craft fayre at Cheltenham Racecourse with a couple of friends, L ad J. Expecting not to buy anything (I just don’t need anything personally and Christmas isn’t even in mind for me just yet) I came across a flower stand.
A couple of the arrangements caught my eye; beautiful and contemporary were how I would describe them. I asked one of the ladies on the stand to tell me a little about Freddie’s Flowers and she explained that they are similar to Flowers by Post in that they arrive by post but you can subscribe and opt for a weekly, monthly, bi-monthly or ‘whatever you choose’ delivery. I loved this idea as it saves time.
You can also have the flowers delivered to another address – great for me as I often send long-distance family and friends flowers by post for birthdays etc. In particular I love the idea of Freddie’s Flowers because I usually play safe and having them chosen for me would stretch my imagination.
At around 8am yesterday the door bell rang and I took delivery of a beautiful box of Freddie’s Flowers. I especially loved that all of the packaging was recyclable and rustic; paper and string does it for me, as opposed to cellophane and shiny ribbon.
Within the box was a leaflet explaining showing which flowers were which (I had never heard of Solidago – apparently Native Americans chewed the leaves to relieve sore throats and toothache), and showing me how to style the arrangement.
I have never met Freddie but he seems like a nice guy!
In addition, tips on making the flowers last longer, a video link to watch Freddie styling flowers, and general information about flower arranging – plus 3 vouchers to give to others who may like to subscribe (they get their first flowers free – unlike me!!) – were included.
Fresh flowers – definitely this Girls Thing!
Hugs

PS I’m no expert but I’m happy with the result (followed Freddie’s directions)
