Day 14 – Curfew – Monday 6 April 2020
It’s been a lazy old day today. I joined in an hours Pilates class with my instructor, ‘C’, who always delivers a varied class. Because she is videoing these from home, her little boy ‘R’ (who is a darling) sometimes appears. The day he appeared with a sword made me laugh out loud. ‘C’ is so professional and just carries on – she is a fab Pilates teacher too!
Just before lunch I took Martha for a walk in the woods. There are many little flowers peeping out underfoot and I know the bluebells will be appearing in a few weeks.
One of the woods I frequent produces a carpet of these gorgeous, vibrant bluebells – and I look forward to this year’s show more than ever. When you reach a certain point in the wood and look down-hill the picture is so spectacular your heart misses a beat or two.
During the afternoon I separated some lettuce plants, popped my tomatoes plants in larger pots and have taken cuttings of some fruit trees; whether these actually take or not doesn’t really matter…it’s simply something to do!
Late in the afternoon I decided to make a Pineapple Upside down pudding. I haven’t made one for many years and, unable to find the right tin, had to improvise and use a loaf tin. The other improvisation was using crushed pineapple instead of pineapple rings. It all worked out although the taste was (thankfully) better than the appearance!

Keeping as busy as possible, even on the less active days. It’s a Girl Thing.
Hugs
