Day 12 – Curfew – Saturday 4 April 2020
I have a feeling that I’ll be writing less and less as the days of this curfew continue. I’m keeping busy but a lot of what I am doing remains similar – and I don’t want to bore my readers.
Run, eat, pilates, walk Martha, bake, cook, garden, write: a typical day for me.
Today I have made Broccoli and Stilton soup for lunch. While it was cooking I had a telephone call (not text, or DM but an actual voice call) with an old friend who offered to send me her recipe for ‘mince and pea soup with a twist’…sounds delicious ‘F’.
In return I will send ‘F’ my 30 minute Pilates videos. I am hoping to record one this afternoon to work the abdominal muscles; 30 minutes is quite a short session as I have to include a warm-up and cool down, so the main session is less than 20 minutes – hence I am doing some sessions to focus on different parts of the body.
I did make a friend of my laughter this morning. Passing her walking around the lanes between our respective homes I pulled over and tooted th car horn. As she approached the car I popped on my Wolf-Mask (doesn’t everyone carry a Wolf-Mask or similar??). She laughed and retorted, ‘Well, they do say to wear a mask when out in public’.
This afternoon I have been trimming my sweet pea plants. Having never grown them from seed before I’ve just watched a tutorial on ‘Growing Sweet Peas’ and realise mine are too-leggy-too-soon (not something I will ever suffer with).
That’s about all for today. Short and sweet – just like me! Maybe not sweet, but at five feet nothing (actually more like four-feet-and-three-quarters) I am definitely short.
